      @@RobynneI have an IPhone 13. I silence everyone except those I have chosen as my emergency contacts during my scheduled nighttime quiet time. As a thought, go to your carrier store to get help. Perhaps the problem is within the phone itself.

    I definitely understand your frustration as I’ve been an RPSGT for 3 1/2 years. Blackout curtains, ear plugs, sleep mask, and if you have an iPhone creating your own focus setting and turning off your ringer helps tremendously. If it’s not working and you still have calls/texts coming through purchase an alarm clock and turn your phone completely off. Your phone will last longer that way anyway. I also added myself to the “Do Not Call” registry because those telemarketer calls used to actually infuriate me. Hopefully this helps someone! 🫶🏽

    Have you thought about trying texting some of these friends repeatedly at around 3 a.m. one night, and leaving annoyed messages asking why they aren't answering? Maybe if you show them what it's like, their empathy will kick in and they'll be able to understand, since it sounds like their imaginations aren't doing the trick. (To be clear, I'm not suggesting this as "revenge" but literally to make a point so they understand.)

    i am kinda confused. So it says for the CPSGT we need about 460 hours of clinical but the places ive seen that offer the A-STEP courses either dont offer any clinical or not enough hours. So are we going to have to find clinical hours on our own?

    Keep in mind that sadly some CNAs are less willing to help....I had to convince a CNA to at the very least supervise me while I used the hoyer....I knew how to use it but just wanted to be extra safe. I used it correctly but the person is also a two assist. It's sad but not all CNAs are willing to help you. I'm contemplating switching halls as those who are not even CNAs on another hall are way more willing to help even if they're not a CNA. The flow seems to be better on working together. Try other halls in the nursing home and observe who helps out more and who does not....lot of times its the coworkers that make or break your shift. Residents are usually nice people.

    I started using the G7 after being hospitalized with diabetic ketoacidosis. They are expensive even with prescription drug coverage. I talked to my health insurance company and they told me that because it is a needed diabetic supply, they can cover the cost and run it through the medical coverage. We'll see. I agree with you. I do not like needing a secondary monitor so I can check if my b.s. seems low or high. The last sensor was off by over 40. This one varies by only 10%.

    I started using the Dexcom G7 3 months ago and I've been doing through similar experiences however the G7 seems to be better then some of the other CGM I Had used in the past. THe G7 also behaves weird based on position I sit in, .e.g if I lean to my right the sugar level shoots up by 40 points vs if I lean left it comes down by 32 points. The reason why Dexcom last lesser days then in Europe is nothing but GREED . Someone somewhere making money .

    When my anxiety is heightened I notice my body shakes but not a seizure..but had hand tremors. Chills once in awhile that comes and go. Back pain and standing for more then a few minutes it really bothers me. Sometimes can't sleep on a normal schedule. Dizzy and light headed . Vision is the worst blurry and seeing double in words or nights seeing more objects then what's there.. starting therapy soon. Slow moving at times. Water retention. Can't drive and I'm sure you can't as well. Seizures are no fun. In my prayers warrior

    The best thing to do when state is in the building is what you already know you are supposed to be doing and be honest when they ask a question. If you consistently see problems when working, the surveyor is the best person to bring about changes. State almost never comes after staff. The tags are to the facility. If you are not doing crazy things, you are not usually going to have problems from them.

    I know this is a year later. Did you figure it out? At my school it was considered business casual. So cardigans, nice tops,dresses, etc. I work primarily in prek though so I finally asked if I could wear something still appropriate but with more freedom. Jeans, leggings with fun prints, more comfortable tops. Also I asked if I could wear scrubs and was told yes. Any and all of those work for the setting I am personally in. I generally wear scrubs with fun prints the most because it’s just easy/ comfortable to move around in and still do my job while looking “professional” plus the scrub pockets are so nice for stuffing fun activities or squishes in for my kiddo to play with at appropriate times.

    YES, you Speak TRUTH!! TEAMWORK is NON-EXISTENT in Care Facilities : ( The NURSES Do NOT Support or Demand that CNA'S Work at a Skilled and Professional Level ; or GIVE Consistent Quality Care to the Patients/Residents; or Use GOOD TEAMWORK on the Job. It is discouraging and caused me to STOP working as a CNA after many years in the field.

    @fufulove1436 Месяц назад

    don't do it period I am 5 years out and I'll tell you the truth. Getting a VSG or Bypass is going to be the worst mistake of your life. Losing weight is all about what you eat. Ideally it would be low to no carbs, high protein, water. If you have PCOS or any other endocrine issues that make it hard to lose weight. I would see an endocrinologist tell them whets going on n they will do blood work, then they will prescribe something to balance your hormones, if they find anything. Having weight loss surgery is not what you think it is. Yes, you will lose weight but at what cost? Your hair will fall out, you will no longer get the proper nutrition from food, you will need to take a comprehensive list of vitamins daily for the remainder of your life, the small portions of food you're able to eat will haunt you, food in general will haunt, your relationship with food will become unhealthy and scary, why? Because these are the side effects of having surgery, they do don't tell you about ppl on RUclips are fake and weird Bariatric dr. included. Life after weight loss surgery is something I thought I was prepared for until I truly realized what I did, and what I allowed them to do to me. And yes, I lost all the weight I still work out 6 days a week religiously. No rice No bread, No pasta in 5 years no sugary drinks no sodas. I started anxiety medication 6 months out. body dysmorphic disorder 1year out, more meds and therapy, binge eating slider foods more meds, and last but not least full-blown eating disorder yah me. I am deathly afraid to gain weight even though a toddler can eat more than me. just try to do it on your own you do not want these problems trust me please. Remember high protein low carb water veggies and regular exercise if you are able to just a walk is good enough. Don't Denie yourself of sweets just eat the correct portions. This is easy you can do it just keep at it. I am speaking from my actual experience life after a VSG.

      Exactly!! Thank you for sharing this. So many "bigger" women become obsessed with losing weight. Which u can do in much more healthy ways than invasive surgeries. A friend of mine had gastric bypass and I urged her not to. She got mad at me for not being supportive. So be it. She had to live with consequences now. Literally half your stomach is missing. The negatives far outweigh the positives which I was trying to convey to her. Bigger ppl can lose weight man. The basics: diet and exercise. Yes, you are going to have to work extremely hard at it. And to those who say they have tried "everything" I question how hard you have really worked at it. Im sorry, but I do. Surgery should never be an option. But I can't speak for everyone. In the end, do what u feel u have to do I suppose.
